Overview
The new HORIZON TM4 video, audio transmission and recording solution is compact and portable. It has been specifically designed to meet a wide range of application and operational requirements for deployment in both static and mobile scenarios.
The HORIZON TM4 with its high quality recording option, will support the connection and control of up to four PTZ cameras and transmit high quality, live video and audio back to operations rooms, command and control centre, studio locations or remote personnel. Those personnel may then view the live video stream using internet connected desk, portable or even hand held viewers from anywhere in the world
Designed to transmit across mobile phone networks including HSPA, 3G and EDGE, the HORIZON TM4 uses its unique compression technology to allow transmission even when only GPRS is available!
The solution also offers Ethernet connectivity, so that it can be configured to transmit across other available network infrastructures, such as LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Wireless IP Networks and even Satellite.
As with all Tellemachus HORIZON solutions, the receive equipment can be located at your premises, which together with the use of VPN and advanced encryption, ensures that your video and audio if required is completely secure and viewable by only your organisation.
Designed in a modular format, HORIZON TM4’s base configuration can be supplied in a ruggedised or non-ruggedised format which may be enhanced with the following options:
HORIZON TM4 can be powered from 240 volt mains or by 12 volt supply using battery solutions such as POWERCORE from Tellemachus.

• Uses AES128 bit encryption (or higher) to ensure the integrity of the video streamed
• High quality ‘front-end’ recording, where the video from up to four cameras is recorded on a high quality, integrated DVR which has a removable hard drive available in a range of sizes.
• An integrated ADSL/dual sim Router can offer direct connectivity to broadband together with fail over to the resilient use of the best available 3G/HSPA coverage, via dual sim slots.
• An integrated SMS module allow the whole device and the recording or router or WiFi to be remotely powered off and on therefore adding operational time while on battery power.
• An integrated Wi-Fi module which may be configured as either an access point, to allow recorded video to be remotely downloaded, or as a Wi-Fi client for use as a short range transmission medium.
• A simple BNC ‘video out’ connectivity allows live or recorded video to be available in a composite format for use with DVB-T or external recording
Applications
HORIZON TM4 is ideal in outside broadcast, media, geological surveys in both mobile and static scenarios when live and recorded video and audio is required immediately and where no fixed infrastructure is readily available.
HORIZON TM4 can be used when immediate, temporary and discreet remote observation is required in many commercial, retail, construction or manufacturing situations.
Local Authorities can use HORIZON TM4 for discreet and remote observation in a range of scenarios including suspected ‘fly-tipping’ locations, vandalism/illegal access to vacant council property, anti social situations and monitoring new/temporary traffic arrangements.
Optional GPS functionality allows you to track the location of any vehicle in which a HORIZON TM4 is being used.
